Kay Shkoukani
Hello, my name is Kay Shkoukani and I have lived in Jordan for 9 years. I have four grown up children; one of my children, Sophie, teaches in Year 1 at the ICS.
I am Montessori trained and have taught KG1 in two private international schools in Amman. This is my fourth year at the ICS as a Teaching Assistant working in Year 3/4, Reception and Year 2. I am currently working alongside Mrs. Bedigan Booth in Year 2.
I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
Carol Sivzattian
My name is Carol Sivzattian and I have been working as a full time Teaching Assistant at the ICS School for the last 12 years. I hold a variety of diplomas in the field of education including: TEFEL, Child Psychology, Child Day Care and I attended a UK conducted course in Structured Multisensory Language Teaching. I am also a qualified Screener to assess Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS) and completed a Basic First Aid Training Course from the Jordan Red Crescent.
I have worked throughout all the key stages in the Primary School and hold the Position of Teaching Assistant Co-ordinator. This year I will be working with the Upper key Stage Team alongside Mr. Booth in Year 6. I have been a member of an international book club for 12 years and I enjoy swimming and walking.
Eman Hanbali
Hi, I am Eman Hanbali. This is my fifth year here at the ICS. I achieved a BA degree in Education in the field of English. My favourite thing to do, aside from assisting in the education and social development of our students, is to travel. I believe learning is fun so I like to smile and enjoy seeing children smile as they learn. I am looking forward to spending more time here at the ICS.
Fadwa Al Da’jah
Hi I’m Fadwa! I joined the ICS two years ago and I’m working as an LSA.I have a B.A in languages germany and english and I wanted to work in this school after hearing so many good comments. My favourite hobby is horseback riding.
Mariam Al Ali
Hi, I’m Mariam. I joined the ICS school as a member of the Special Educational Needs Department two years ago. Before that I was a pre-school teacher for 9 years. I have beautiful memories from there but I decided to work with children with special needs because they need our support and care and I believe in their abilities and that we can improve them.
I like to work with pupils. I took my training in Jordan Specialised Centre for Autism. I like reading, going to the gym and shopping. It’s comfortable working with people in the ICS and I hope the best for everybody here.
Mariciel Gamboc
Hi my name is Mariciel Gamboc and I am from the Philippines. I have a BA in Secondary Education specialising in Social Studies. I have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant in a local primary school in the Philippines. I have lived in Jordan for three years and this is my third year at the ICS. The first two years I worked as an LSA in Primary and I am presently working alongside Mrs. Valencia in Year 2. Working at the ICS is a great opportunity and I am learning a lot of things while having fun! I love walking in the countryside, reading books and surfing the net. I am also not a bad cook if I put my mind to it!
Shaden Al-Kassaji
My name is Shaden Al-Kassaji and I previously worked as a PE teacher in two International schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I have a BA in Physical Education from the Jordan University. This is my first year as a Teaching Assistant at the ICS working alongside Mrs. McIlwaine in Year 5. I have also worked each summer as a PE teacher in the ICS summer camp. This year I am pleased to be helping in the after school swimming and basketball activities. I am really enjoying working as a Teaching Assistant in Year 5, supporting the children in all areas of their learning!
Pauline Van Den Hoven
Hello, my name is Pauline Van Den Hoven and I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I have previously worked as a Primary teacher for nine years in the Netherlands and then moved on to Vienna. I worked as a substitute Nursery Teaching Assistant at the Vienna International School.
This is my second year in Jordan and I have two children at the ICS: Emma in Year 4 and Max in Year 1. My hobbies are music and art.
I have heard so many positive things about the children at the ICS and I am really looking forward to working in the Nursery this year.
Reem Al Musa
My name is Reem Al Musa and I was born in the United States and hold a degree in Business Administration. I moved to Jordan 13 years ago and I have worked at the ICS for five years: two years as an LSA in Key Stage 1 and three years as a Teaching Assistant in Year 6.
My hobbies are art and swimming.
Claire Hall
My name is Claire Hall and this is my third year of working at the ICS. I am in Jordan with my husband who is a water engineer. We have 2 daughters who attend the school, Asha in Year 5 and Niamh in Year 3. I really enjoy socialising and spending time with all the new people there are to meet in Jordan. The ICS has a great community spirit and I am really enjoying my time here.
Sarah Shahuan
My name is Sarah Shahuan and I have been the Primary ICT Teacher Assistant for the last 2 years. I have a qualification in Art and Design and I am passionate about graphic design. I really enjoy travelling and learning about the customs and traditions of other countries. My hobbies include art, photography, and exercising.
Hayat Kadri
Hello my name is Hayat Kadri. I am Algerian and have been living in Jordan for 20 years. This is my eighth year at the ICS where I am currently supporting and assisting children in Yr. 5W.
I have a Bachelors Degree in International Law and a Masters degree in Special Educational Needs from the UK.
I speak four languages fluently: Arabic, English, French, and Turkish. I have also travelled and lived in many countries of the world: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Yemen, Tunisia, Germany, and Kuwait
Nisreen Khasawneh
My name is Nisreen Khasawneh and I was born in Swindon, UK. I hold a BA in English Literature, a Masters degree in Education from Mount Saint Vincent University in Canada, and recently I have completed my PGCE from the University of Sunderland in the UK. This is my third year working here in the ICS- gaining enough experience to benefit in the education of the ICS children. The ICS has a very positive atmosphere and I am really enjoying my time here working with different and very special children- and I hope that my assistance in the ICS will have great impact for the future of today’s children.
Dania Ahram
My name is Dania Ahram and I hold a BA in Management Information System. I have been previously working in a private school as a computer teacher, and just joined the ICS as an LSA after hearing so many good comments about the school. In my free time, I love travelling and swimming.
Nicola Hajjiri
Hello my name is Nicola Hajjiri and I have been working at the ICS as a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1 on and off since 1988. I am presently working alongside Mrs. Asif in Year 2 and really enjoy the challenge of working with children from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
In my spare time I like to play tennis and bridge. Whenever possible I take my dog, Frosti, for walks and I have recently adopted a beautiful kitten called Muffin.
Margaret Tadros
My name is Margaret Tadros. I have been working at the ICS since 1998 as a teacher assistant for Primary KS1 and KS2. I have a Montessori diploma/certificate for nursery and foundation. Before working at the ICS I worked for one year at the Montessori School as a KG teacher and after that for two years at the ABS in Grade one and Grade five as a volunteer and substitute teacher.
In my free time I enjoy yoga, swimming, listening to music, reading and writing, cooking and various other things and when possible I love to travel
Lina Walied
Hi! My name is Lina Walied Al-Ahdab. I have a BA in English Language from Al-Isra’ Private University and a Diploma in Interior Design from Queen Alia College. I previously worked as an English teacher for five years at Oxford School and Sands National Academy. It’s my first year here in ICS and I’m really enjoying working as a TA in Year 3. It’s a new experience for me but I’m really interested in spending my time here to support the children in all areas of their learning. Also, other than teaching and supporting children, I love painting and all kinds of art.
Rania Wilson
Hi my name is Rania Wilson. I was born in Jordan and educated at the American College of Leysin, Switzerland. I hold a BA in Social Studies specializing in Psychology and Sociology. I have lived in Jordan, Bahrain, and the UK. My work experience has included; Costumer Service, administration, interpreting and teaching. My interests are watching movies, traveling and working out at the gym.
Nada Dakhil
Hello! My name is Nada and I am from Lebanon. I have studied clinical and psychological psychology in Beirut and I have worked there with children with special needs.
I just started working at the ICS on January 2010 as a learning support mentor. I will always do my best to understand, to support students and to bring out the best in them.
I am eager to face the challenges of this new job and the challenges of moving to a new country. I have no doubt it is going to be a very interesting experience!
Lorraine Karmi
My name is Lorraine Karmi I started working at the ICS in 1989 at that time I was the Reception Teacher for one year before leaving to travel with my family to Saudi Aramco.
On my return to Jordan I worked as a one to one with a special needs child for two years,
and then was Nursery Teacher for the following five years.
I have now joined the ranks of the semi retired working in the Reception Class 2days a week. My Tuesdays are spent singing with the children of Foundation Stage and also the KS1 classes which is great fun.
I am vice chair of the PSA and enjoy organizing events especially bonfire night and food fair were I am M.C. and responsible for the entertainment.
My hobbies include acting, reading, swimming, cooking and relaxing.
I am married with four adult children, two dogs and a cat and have been living in Jordan for 27years. I have worked in many schools but found this school the best.
Rowaida El-Khatib
Hello, I’m Rowaida El-Khatib. I’m an Occupational Therapist and this is my second year in I.C.S working as a Learning Support Assistant. I love what I do, for the great sense of achievement I get out of it.
Nada Idriss
My name is Nada and I have a B.A. degree in Library and Information Management. I worked for five years as a KG teacher in a private school. I joined the ICS this year and I’m really happy and comfortable being here. I am looking forward to helping and supporting students here in the ICS for the upcoming years. In my free time I like to read and spend time with my kids.
Faten Nofal
My name is Faten Nofal and this is my 7th year working in Reception. I really enjoy working in the ICS- it is a very friendly environment and I am very happy being here. In my free time I enjoy cooking and traveling.
