About ICS
The International Community School is all about the children. Our highly qualified teaching staff greatly values the emotional welfare of every student. We’re very proud of our activity programme that nurtures the development of the whole child.
We have taught the British Curriculum in primary since 1952 and in secondary since 1999, with outstanding results.
Diversity
As our student population consists of around 50 nationalities, we have a well-established EAL department (English as an Additional Language). We also welcome a limited number of children with special educational needs in our mainstream classrooms.
The ICS Community
As a Community School, the ICS acts as the hub of its community focusing on the development of the child as a whole, giving it the opportunity to excel, through academic learning as well as the exposure to different cultures, experiences and interactive learning skills. One of the components of every Community School is an advisory board that represents the community as broadly as possible.
Charity
The ICS strives to strengthen the local community by raising funds for charitable causes, both through the very active Parents Staff Association and the primary and secondary student councils, as well as individual initiatives.
